Technology has changed the way we live, interact, and share our thoughts on social media. This behaviour change is happening in many different ways, but one of the most notable shifts is the difference in content being shared. With more visible public figures communicating their opinion to a vast audience with ease, it’s clear that behavioural trends are changing — not just on social media, but also in our everyday lives.

Timeline: Past, present, and future of Behavioural Trends on social media

When social media was first popularised, it was exciting to be able to share our personal lives with others. However, as social media became more and more pervasive, people began to lose their sense of privacy. People began to take greater notice of how often they were connected online and became increasingly conscious of the effect this would have on their mental health.

The evolution of social media over the past decade

Many people have been predicting the demise of social media for years, but it seems that these platforms are still around and thriving. In fact, they may be more popular now than they’ve ever been. In a recent study by Pew Research Center, 95 percent of millennials reported using Facebook every day. This is up from 73 percent in 2016.

How social media has changed in the present day

Social media has changed in many ways in the present day. For example, there are more games to play with your friends and more filters to edit pictures with. There are also hashtags for people to share their emotions on social media. This hashtag can bring people together who might have never met before because they are all feeling the same way about a certain topic. Social media is also much more political in the present day, which makes it even more important to use these platforms wisely.

What would happen in the future of social media?

Technology is always changing and it would be interesting to see where social media will go in the future. More and more people rely on social media for information and entertainment, so we’re sure it’s not going anywhere soon. We all know that Facebook was the first big thing and now we have Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok etc. Social media has come a long way since its inception and we expect to see more changes in the future.

Changing trends in social media

In the past, people would only use social media to interact with friends and family. Nowadays, however, people are using it for many purposes and there is a shift in behavioural trends on social media. We can use multiple platforms for different reasons, such as Facebook for connecting with family and friends, Twitter for news updates, Instagram for photo sharing and Snapchat for keeping up with one’s thoughts.

Conclusion

For decades, people have been using technology to interact with each other. And now more than ever, it’s easy to see that the digital world is becoming more and more integrated into our everyday life. These interactions have made an impact on how we live our lives, how we communicate with each other, and how we learn new things.
